This is what an iLearning University course
looks like. iLearning University is built upon a familiar
collaboration tool in most organizations – Microsoft SharePoint 2010.
This is an example course on Change Management offered by the mythical
Central Community College. Note that the modules of the course are
labeled “Knowledge Products” along the left hand side of the webpage.
Organizing courses by knowledge products is a key feature of iLearning
University courses. Knowledge products focus on what the learners
have to do -- not on materials that may or may not be relevant to the
work at hand. This means that knowledge products are things that have to get done such as design documents, quality plans, and testing reports. For this example, the team needs to make a plan for the first phase of Change Management -- a plan entitled “A Persuasion Model for Making
Change."
To get started, a team member selects
the first knowledge product in the list for this course -- “A Persuasion Model for Making
Change.”
